For anyone who has followed my work, knows that skulls are probably my favorite subject matter to paint, draw or sculpt. I am sure that the facination originated with the numerous books on dinosaurs that I had as a child, as well as books on the evolution of man that was filled with skulls expaining the differences between Homo Habilus and Homo Erectus. As well as famous dead heads of Lucy and Twiggy.
While I never really read these books until later years, I was always facinated with the pictures of skulls and bones.
When I started airbrushing I was amazed by the realism that one could achieve. Especially the colours to achieve the look of real bone. I start to seek out airbrush artists that also leaned towards painting the undead. Enter Rod Fuchs.
